Day with a Difference - March 26, 2006

Today's Inspirational Quote:

"You can't free a bird if it is not going to fly. You can't live a life if you don't ask "Why?"

Even rats find deadlines motivating

Research shows that, as the deadline for a particular goal becomes close, people focus more on that goal and get more done.

Even rats work harder as they approach their "goals." A rat, which has been trained to believe that it will get fed after pressing a bar 500 times, will experience more energy and greater productivity as that 500th press approaches.

Moral of the story: Use deadlines to motivate yourself

A clean joke to sign off the week with laughter.

Nervous Witness

An uncertain and nervous witness was being cross-examined.
The lawyer thundered, "Have you ever been married?"
"Yes, sir," said the witness in a low voice.
"Once."
"Whom did you marry?"
"Well, a woman."
The lawyer bellowed angrily,
"Of course you married a woman. Did you ever hear of anyone marrying a man?"
To which the witness replied meekly, "My sister did."

Have a memorable day and a funfilled weekend!
