Day with a Difference - March 07, 2006

Today's Inspirational Quote:

The time is always right to do what is right. - Martin Luther King Jr.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

People always come into your life for a reason, a season and a lifetime. When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need youhave expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through adifficulty, or to provide you with guidance and support, to aid youphysically, emotionally, or even spiritually. They may seem like a godsendto you, and they are. They are there for a reason, you need them to be. Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this personwill say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes theydie, Sometimes they just walk away. What we must realize is that our needhas been met, our desire fulfilleed; their work is done. The prayer you sentup has been answered and it is now time to move on.

When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn hascome to share, grow, or learn. They may bring you an experience of peace ormake you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. Theyusually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But,only for a season. And like Spring turns to Summer and Summer to Fall, theseason eventually ends.

LIFETIME, relationships teach you a lifetime of lessons; those things youmust build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job isto accept the lesson, love the person/people (anyway);, and put what youhave learned to use in all other relationships and areas in your life.

Lateral Thinking: The term 'lateral thinking' was coined by Edward de Bonoto denote a problem-solving style that involves looking at the givensituation from unexpected angles. Sometimes a problem seems difficult orinsoluble because our assumptions about it are wrong. Here is a sample...Arthur and The Burglars:Arthur lives with his parents in Chicago. Last week, while his parents wereout, Arthur's next-door neighbor Sophie came round to spend the evening. Atone point, she popped out to buy some cigarettes. Just then, two men burstinto the apartment and, ignoring Arthur, took the TV set, the stereo and acomputer. Arthur had never seen the men before, and they had no legal rightto remove the equipment, yet he did nothing to stop them. In fact, he didn'teven act surprised by their behavior. Why not? "Arthur is a baby !".

Have a memorable day!
